Trash and Recycling Collection

Olmsted Township trash/recycling collection day (trashblue container, recyclablesgreen container) is each Thursday. Republic Services provides the Township’s trash/recycling collection services and observes the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

Trash/recycling collection service will occur one day later throughout the holiday week, beginning with services scheduled for the holiday.

The Township’s bulk trash collection, also provided by Republic Services, is the Thursday of the third full week of the month.

  • If the first of the month falls on a Sunday or Monday, you count that as the first week.
  • If the first falls on any other day of the week, you do not count that as the first week.

Questions? Republic Services can be contacted Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Visit Republic Service’s Recycling Services page for any recycling questions you may have.

For details on how to safely dispose of latex paint, televisions, etc. and to find even more recycling information, visit www.cuyahogarecycles.org.
